A contour line is a line drawn on a topographic map to indicate ground elevation or depression. A contour interval is the vertical distance or difference in elevation between contour lines. Index contours are bold or thicker lines that appear at every fifth contour line.If the numbers associated with specific contour lines are increasing, the elevation of the terrain is also increasing. If the numbers associated with the contour lines are decreasing, there is a decrease in elevation. As a contour approaches a stream, canyon, or drainage area, the contour lines turn upstream. They then cross the stream and turn back along the opposite bank of the stream forming a \"v\". A rounded contour indicates a flatter or wider drainage or spur. Contour lines tend to enclose the smallest areas on ridge tops, which are often narrow or very limited in spatial extent. Sharp contour points indicate pointed ridges. Example 1 - In the graphic below, what is the vertical distance between the contour linesPick two contour lines that are next to each other and find the difference in associated numbers.40 feet - 20 feet = 20 feetThe contour lines in this figure are equally spaced. The even spacing indicates the hill has a uniform slope. From the contour map, a profile can be drawn of the terrain.Example 2 - Draw a profile showing the elevations of the contours.Note: The intervals are increasing, therefore, the contours indicate a hill. The peak is normally considered to be located at half the interval distance.Widely separated contour lines indicate a gentle slope. Contour lines that are very close together indicate a steep slope. The figure above illustrates various topographic features. (b) Notice how a mountain saddle, a ridge, a stream, a steep area, and a flat area are shown with contour lines. The figure above illustrates a depression and its representation using contour lines. Notice the tick marks pointing toward lower elevation.
The two most commonly described host characteristics are age and sex because they are easily collected and because they are often related to exposure and to the risk of disease. Depending on the outbreak, occupation, race, or other personal characteristics specific to the disease under investigation and the setting of the outbreak may also be important. For example, investigators of an outbreak of hepatitis B might characterize the cases by intravenous drug use and sexual contacts, two of the high risk exposures for that disease. Investigators of a school-based gastroenteritis outbreak might describe occurrence by grade or classroom, and by student versus teacher or other staff.
Given recent concerns about bioterrorism, investigators should consider intentional dissemination of an infectious or chemical agent when trying to determine the cause of an outbreak. An intentional act, one with either terrorist or criminal intent, should be considered under a variety of circumstances listed in Table 6.6. Investigators of an outbreak of salmonellosis in The Dalles, Oregon, were stumped when they were able to implicate salad bars in several local restaurants, but could not identify any common ingredients or distribution system.(36) A year later, a member of a local cult admitted that the cult had intentionally contaminated the salads bars with Salmonellaorganisms. The lesson learned is that when the epidemiology does not fit the usual or natural patterns of transmission, investigators should think about intentional modes of transmission.
Manipulating Level Instances is as simple as manipulating other actors in your level. You can also edit the component parts of a Level Instance in-place. In the Details panel for a placed Level Instance, click the Edit button under Level Instance Editing to focus on that Level Instance. You can then edit the component parts of the Level Instance in the context of the rest of your world.
As a user interacting with the level editor, nothing about your workflow is changed. To edit a level, you still open a single level file in the editor. However, since the underlying file system tracks each actor as a separate file, level designers and environment artists can edit different regions or layers of the same level and rarely, if ever, encounter a conflict when committing their changes to a version control system.
Valley of the Ancient has OFPA enabled globally. You can find this setting under World Settings in the Advanced section of the World parameters, where it is labeled Use External Actors.
You can check the World Partition settings of individual actors in their Details, under the World Partition section. This can also be edited in class defaults inside the Blueprint editor.

The area was traveled by the early Mormon pioneers on their journey to where they settled and built Salt Lake City. One of their leaders, Parley P. Pratt, explored the canyon in 1848. He was given a charter the following year to build a toll road through it, which was finished in 1849.[9] The basin at the top of the canyon was an ideal place to graze, and a few families settled. Early on, the area was deeded to Samuel Snyder, Heber C. Kimball and Jedediah Grant. The settlers named it \"Parley's Park City\", which was shortened to \"Park City\" upon the town's incorporation in 1884. The first known discovery of ore in this area was by men serving under Colonel Patrick E. Connor, who invited his men to prospect in the area after having been relocated from Gold Rush-era California.[10] The finding of silver, gold and lead sparked the first silver mines in Park City in the 1860s. Park City's large mining boom brought large crowds of prospectors setting up camps around the mountain terrain, marking the first mining settlements. Although it was not the first find, the Ontario silver mine, discovered by Herman Buden in 1872 and quickly purchased by George Hearst through his business partner R. C. Chambers, was the first major producer.
There were 2885 households, out of which 26.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.4% were married couples living together, 7.3% had a female householder with no husband present, 2.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 39.6% were non-families. Of all households 25.8% were made up of individuals, and 5.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.6 and the average family size was 3.03.
The age distribution was 23.0% under the age of 20, 7.2% from 20 to 24, 30.7% from 25 to 44, 30.4% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37.4 years. For every 100 females, there were 112.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 114.7 males.
As of the census[3] of 2000, the median income for a household in the city was $65,800, and the median income for a family was $77,137. Males had a median income of $40,032 versus $26,341 for females. The per capita income for the city was $45,164. About 5.3% of families and 10.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.6% of those under age 18 and 6.6% of those age 65 or over.
Fist time at the course for all of us, and got a super rate with cart for the foursome. Greens on a few of the holes had a lot of dead spots (assume from early spring frost) but overall the rest was nice and well set up. Loved the views and then we got a free Thunderbirds Airshow to boot. Cannot complain. Will absolutely be back. Loved to have seen cart service more as it was hot, and pace was just ok but we think that had more to do with delays while folks watched the airshow overhead and next door.
